DeSkuzzer Return Policy
Every DeSkuzzer is handmade in our U.S. workshop, and we want yours to be the right tool for your water. Here’s exactly how returns work, and why one part of our policy is stricter than most.

The short version
Unused DeSkuzzers can be returned within 30 days of delivery for a refund. Once a DeSkuzzer has been in the water, it can’t be returned. That’s not fine print, it’s conservation, and we explain it below.
Returning an unused DeSkuzzer
If your DeSkuzzer hasn’t touched the water and you’d like to return it, call us at 973-839-6383 within 30 days of delivery. We’ll walk you through it, no forms, no run-around, you’ll talk to the family that built it. Units must come back unused and in their original condition. Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility, and once your return arrives at our workshop and checks out, we refund your original payment method in full.
Why we can’t accept used units
This is the part that makes us different, and we stand behind it. Moving equipment between lakes and ponds is one of the ways invasive plants and organisms spread from one waterbody to another. A skimmer that has worked a pond carrying duckweed, algae, or anything else can carry fragments of it to the next pond it touches, even after a rinse. Accepting used returns and restocking them would put our other customers’ water at risk, and protecting water is the entire reason the DeSkuzzer exists. So once a unit has been wet, it’s yours. We’d rather lose a sale than move a problem from one lake to another.
Before you order: know your weed
Most returns we see come down to one mix-up, so let’s prevent it. The DeSkuzzer is built for floating surface debris: duckweed, string and filamentous algae, leaves, pollen, and scum. Watermeal on its own is too fine for the netting, though mixed in with duckweed it collects along for the ride.
Damaged in shipping
If your DeSkuzzer arrives damaged, contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and the packaging, and we’ll make it right with a repair, replacement parts, or a replacement unit at no cost to you.
