Who we are

Precision manufacturing for a living. Lakes for our living.

We’re Derma-Safe LLC, a family-run New Jersey company that has supplied the military and survival equipment industry for more than three decades. Precision manufacturing is what we do for a living. Lakes are where we’ve done our living: our family has spent over sixty years on lakefront shores, dealing firsthand with the water quality and weed problems every waterfront owner knows.

Why we build what we build

There is no silver bullet. So we built honest tools.

Here’s what sixty years on the water taught us: there is no silver bullet for aquatic weeds. Most of what’s sold to desperate pond owners is a big deal in all the wrong ways. There’s no one way to solve the problems facing our lakes and ponds. Even worse is that most of the current ways to control aquatic weeds are expensive, marginally effective and in some instances actually counter-productive; in this category are such things as Chemicals and Harvesting.

We keep listening to the water.

Aquatic weed control keeps changing, and we keep attending the conferences, reading the research, and listening to the people on the water. When we find something worth knowing, we pass it along, honestly, including telling you when our product is the wrong tool for your weed problem or needs.

Ask us about watermeal sometime. The DeSkuzzer is built for duckweed and floating debris; watermeal on its own is too fine for the netting. We tell you that before you order, not after.
